Damn right. Now I'm on Thanksgiving break. Yay. I think I have a cold because of my throat hurting and my voice sounding like.... hella shaky. But whatever. I have a powerpoint to do, which will be a pain in the ass, seeing that I've only read 1/50 of what I've checked out from the library. (And no, I didn't check out 50 books. I have 5.)

... the more upset I get. It's bad enough that Hogan has rivalries with Bethel and Vallejo, but does the school board have any idea what will happen when they move all the would-be-former Spartans to Apache and Jaguar territory? It's bad enough to have rival gangs in the same school, but rival gangs throughout the other two schools being combined? That's bad. That's all bad. I know it shouldn't concern me too much, but Hogan is my school too. Once a Spartan, always a Spartan. I'm proud of my school. I feel that it has its own kind of unique culture in ways I can't explain, one that would never be duplicated in the other schools if it goes away.

Even though I'll be leaving next year since this is my senior year, it'll hurt to leave. It'll hurt even more if Hogan is closed. All my memories are there, most everything that changed me and my outlook on life. I don't want those memories to fade away with the life of this school. I wanna be ale to come back to these, the sights, the people, the nostalgia in certain places of the school... Especially my teachers, Haluan Club and ICON, and even the 70's wing.

I left a mark on the school campus. It's still an unfinished mural at the moment, but it's something I'm leaving there for the school, like what Patrick and Kyle did next to it. I left my work there, mostly as something to inspire others to share their talents with the community and not be afraid to do so. I want the other students, old and new, to find their own passion in life, something positive. I feel that it will all go to waste if our school is gone.

As for the people that are still going to be behind the class of '10, I can't help but feel bad... Many of them are my friends, and a lot of them want to graduate from Hogan. It's not fair for them at all. Knowing that they'll probably be split between the other two schools, or even going out of town to finish high school fills me with dread. I won't be able to see them as often as I'd like to before I head off out of town to go to college next year.

Hogan High School will always have a piece of my heart. I'll forever be broken if it's closed down.
